ROBERTSON, John (Jack) T.

Passed away on December 29, 2012 at the age of 73.  Survived by his loving wife Barbara; daughter Kathy of Port Coquitlam, BC; son Kim (Sandra) of Port Coquitlam, BC and two grandchildren:  Conner, Shane.  Jack passed away peacefully from his lifelong battle with Lung Disease.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:30 pm at the Rutland United Church, 1370 Rutland Road North, Kelowna, BC.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

    I am so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. He was one of the kindest men that I have ever worked with and known. He was very special and I am so pleased that I got to know him. He touched the lives of so many children in their most formative years. Our love to you all Ken and Marion

    So sorry to hear of Jack’s death. He was such a gentleman! We have very warm and positive thoughts and feelings of both Jack and Barb when we first arrived in Nelson. Our thoughts and energy are with you, Barb, and your family at this sad time. Jack was so thoughtful one of the kindest and considerate teachers Glyn met, and positively influenced many children in his care. Your family’s loss is our loss, too.

    To Barb and Family

    It was with sadness that we read of Jack’s passing. He was a wonderful teacher, kind and gentle, so perfect for the little ones that were entrusted to his care. Walking or driving past the house on the corner, I still think of it as “your house” with Jack outside smiling his infectious smile. He brightened many a day. May you find comfort in your faith and memories. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
