We Remember
ROESKE, Kurt Leo
August 30, 1938 — December 11, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kurt Roeske, who left us on December 11, 2024, in Kelowna, BC. Kurt went to sleep peacefully and is waiting for the day of the Lord’s returning to take him home.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Heather; children Kurt Jr, Kari Redlich, and Karla Waller; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter MacKenzie Redlich, and his nine siblings.
Kurt was born on August 30, 1938, in Friedensdorf, Germany. He immigrated to Canada, where he proudly became a Canadian citizen.
Kurt served in the Canadian Coast Guard for five years before pursuing business. In Kelowna, he opened Four Seasons Upholstery, which he ran successfully until his retirement in 2003.
A devoted family man, Kurt’s love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was immeasurable. He was an avid fan of soccer and enjoyed spending time sailing.
His faithfulness and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kurt went to sleep peacefully and is awaiting the return of the Lord to take him home.

Thinking back to the 80st…we were business neighbors on Ellis. Sending a heartfelt Coǹdolence to you, dear Heather and your family. Hugs too.
I find myself thinking back to spending time with Kurt as a young teen employee at the upholstery shop. A wonderfully kind and thoughtful man who will be fondly remembered.
