We Remember

ROTA, Terry
January 1, 1955 — March 21, 2025
Terry Rota rolled his last mile, surrounded by family, on March 21, 2025. Born in Revelstoke, BC, Terry was a proud truck driver who spent his life behind the wheel, making sure everything – and everyone – got where they needed to go.
Terry leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah; his kids Wes (Heather) and Corina (Johan); and his grandkids, Poppy, Smith, and Gavin, who were the lights of his life. He’s also survived by his siblings: Gilbert (Sharon), Jimmy (Evelyn), Kathy (Andrew), and Barb (Tim), along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. Terry was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Ruby Rota, and his precious granddaughter Ruby, who’s surely saving him a good parking spot up above.
Terry was never afraid of a hard day’s work and always made sure his family was looked after. In the early ’90s, he hung up his chains in Revelstoke and moved to Kelowna, where he built a life full of love and laughter. His heart was happiest when he was surrounded by his grandkids, watching them grow and sharing stories from the road.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Terry’s honour to Willow House: The Ronald McDonald House – Kelowna, a cause that was close to his heart.
Keep on truckin’, Terry. You’ll always be riding shotgun in our hearts.
