SHYPIT, Aaron Michael
—
April 1958 – March 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Aaron on March 8, 2021, in Armstrong BC, at the age of 62.
After leaving his career in Edmonton, AB with CP Rail, he moved to Kelowna, BC. He worked for Molson as a sales representative and from there he decided to take a turf management course while working at Gallagher’s Canyon golf course. When he left Gallagher’s he obtained a position at Riverside Plywood plant, when the plant shut down he worked for Growers supply, Corix, Wosley, and his most current position was with Dale Collins trucking.
Aaron was an avid sports player, as he spent many years playing baseball and on occasion football. In his younger years he played hockey and lacrosse, but he could play any sport. Aaron was an extremely hard worker and was well respected and liked by all who met him.
He was a very doting and loving uncle to his nieces Heather and Jennifer, taking them shopping and out for lunch almost every weekend. They were definitely spoiled by “Unk”.
In 2003, he met the love of his life Jo-Ann Bartz, and in 2007 they were married. He enjoyed taking pride in his home and yard and spent many leisurely times with Jo-Ann and their fur baby Squirt. If you ever stopped by you were always welcome to have a beer and listen to the music playing while sitting in their beautifully manicured yard, something he loved to do.
Aaron was a caring, kind and much loved husband, son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife Jo-Ann; father Mike; sister Pam (Gary); niece’s Heather (Kade), Jennifer, and great-niece Stella; along with a large extended family. He was predeceased by his mother Audrey.
Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.
Memorial donations can be made to Heart and Stroke foundation in lieu of flowers.
A Livestream of Aaron’s Celebration of Life can be viewed on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm. A recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.

My deepest condolences for your loss, I had the pleasure of working with Aaron for several month before my maternity leave and was very saddened by his sudden passing. Aaron had a beautiful smile and attitude towards life and his energy carried into the room whenever he stepped into my office. He will be greatly missed by myself and everyone single person he worked with.
I had the pleasure of working with Aaron, he always came into my office with a big smile on his face and a positive attitude.
