We Remember
VALER, Emelia Daisy “Amy”
December 7, 1934 — August 18, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Emelia Daisy Valer, who passed away peacefully in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 90.
Born December 7, 1934, Amy grew up in the Rocky Mountains in Corbin, BC and later moved down to the Okanagan Valley in Kelowna, BC. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband, Paul, and a devoted mother to her children, Ron and Debra.
Amy lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking and baking, and her homemade dishes and pies were always the highlight of family gatherings. She loved gardens and enjoyed reading books.
A kind and gentle soul, always putting her family’s needs first; Amy’s love and compassion extended to all those who knew her. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and warm personality
She is survived by her children Ron (Margo) and Debra; her 2 granddaughters Erin (Fred) and Arlie (Garth); and her 5 great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.
Rest in peace, dear mother. You will be in our hearts and memories.
In keeping with Amy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, those who love her will honour her in their own special way.
