We Remember
WHITEHILL, Brett Stuart
October 14, 1976 — January 12, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Brett Stuart Whitehill, who passed away unexpectedly due to an automobile accident on January 12, 2025, at the age of 48.
Left to hold him dear to their hearts are his parents Grant (Helen) Whitehill and Joanne Halverson; sister Jennifer (Ross); grandma Rita Whitehill; and partner Gabi Petkova; along with all whose lives he touched in his time here.
Brett was born on October 14, 1976, in Calgary, Alberta, and lived a life marked by passion, hard work, and kindness. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed activities like waterskiing, scuba diving, and weight lifting, always seeking ways to stay active and engaged with the world around him. As a proud business owner, Brett dedicated himself fully to his career, building a reputation for his integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to his craft. Brett also had a deep love for animals, especially their cat Stella, with whom he would spend many hours playing with and cuddling.
Above all, Brett was a kind and loving person. He was someone who could be relied upon, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to those who needed it. His warm nature and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Brett will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
Family and friends will each honour Brett in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA.

Growing up Brett and I went to Camp together and we were known as the British Bulldogs for pillow fighting. Undefeated and such a fun memory. Rest in peace cousin.
