We Remember

YACHIW, Rose

May 24, 1930 — February 11, 2024

Dear Mom,

Today you went to your home in Heaven.
If I could convey your most beautiful attribute, it would be your gift of hospitality to everyone. You blessed so many in your home, and I hope to carry this on in your memory.

Today in my grief, Mom, I find comfort in knowing that you are reunited with my two brothers, Larry and Paul, in Heaven.
Though my brothers only had you as their mom for a few hours; I was blessed to have you for 64 years.
For everything… Thank you, Mom.

Dad is asking for you. I will help him until you two are together again.
Brian cherished being your “Favourite Son-in-Law”.
Colby mourns your absence deeply. After all, you were his “Special Baba”.
He will continue cooking beautifully, a tribute that will keep you forever in his heart.

Well, Momma,

I cannot seem to say goodbye to you, but I will see you again in heaven.

Until then, I love you, Mom.

Your daughter, Cindy.

There will be a private family gathering at a later date in remembrance and honour of Rose’s beautifully lived life.

My most sincere condolences to my cousin, Cindy and her family and all who loved Aunty Rose. I will cherish my memories of Aunty Rose, always so sweet and kind. An excellent cook, beautiful lady with a heart of gold. I remember spending some time with Aunty Rose and Uncle Mike while working in Nipawin at the newspaper one summer. She made me feel so loved! I truly enjoyed my time there. One time I came “home” after lunch and took a nap on the couch. Aunty Rose was so gracious but made sure I wasn’t going to lose my job. Thank you Aunty Rose for always making me feel so welcomed and loved. I will always remember your salmon sandwiches and the special little glasses from cheese. You will always have a special place in my heart!
